KNOW YOUR BUS
15 windows. 23 windows. One shared spirit.
A closer look at the two split-window styles at the heart of Splitty Life.
The view from a 15-window
Window counts are a familiar way enthusiasts describe passenger-bus layouts. A 15-window split-window bus has the characteristic divided windshield and glazing around the body, without the Samba’s additional roof-edge windows.
A little more sky
The 23-window Samba adds eight roof-edge skylights to the 15-window arrangement, alongside a folding fabric sunroof. The result is a distinctly airy view of the world. The Samba name also appears on later 21-window models, so it does not always mean 23 windows.
The Splitty Life pair
Our founder’s collection includes a blue and white 15-window bus and an orange and white 23-window Samba. Their contrasting personalities inspired the first Splitty Life collections. Original photographs and vehicle-specific histories will be added here.
